Privacy Policy

• Email address— when you subscribe to our “Field Notes” newsletter or request a resource, so we can send you the material and future issues.
• Contact details you provide — such as your name and message when you submit a form or reach out about a project.
• Instagram interaction data — when you comment on one of our Instagram posts or send us a direct message, the Instagram API provides us your Instagram username/ID, the text of your comment or message, and the associated post. We use this solely to respond to you (for example, sending a private reply with the resource you asked for).
• Mobile phone number, and your consent to be texted— when you check the text-message opt-in box on one of our forms, or tell us on a call that we may text you. We store the number alongside the date and time the consent was given, and we use it only for the messages described under “Text messaging” below. We never buy, rent, or import phone numbers from third-party lists.
• Usage data, and how it is collected — this site runs four third-party tools: Google Analytics and Google Ads (traffic and campaign measurement), the Meta pixel (ad measurement), and Microsoft Clarity, which records and replays browsing sessions — mouse movement, scrolling and clicks — so I can see where the page confuses people. These use cookies and similar storage. Clarity masks text input by default. I do not sell or share any of it. You can block all four with any standard browser tracker blocker, and the site works normally if you do.
• If I sent you a personal demo link — the link was made for you, so when you open it I record which screens you open, how long you spend on each, and which buttons you press, and link that visit and its Clarity recording to your record in my own customer system so I know what to talk about. I never record what you type unless you press the button that sends it to me.

• To send the Field Notes newsletter and any resource you requested.
• To respond to comments, direct messages, and inquiries.
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.

We text only people who asked us to, by checking an opt-in box on one of our web or booking forms. It is never a condition of buying anything. There are two kinds of texts, each with its own separate opt-in:

• Informational (its own opt-in) — confirmations and reminders for a meeting you booked with us, and updates when the status of your support ticket changes, if you are a client.
• Marketing (a separate, explicit opt-in) — follow-up when you ask us for more information about our services, and occasional offers.

Message frequency varies with your activity, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop the texts, or HELP for help — you can also email david@proofwright.ai. Opting out of texts does not unsubscribe you from email. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are not sold, and are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We share your number only with Twilio, the carrier-facing provider that delivers the messages on our behalf. Full messaging terms are in our Terms of Service.
